Playing this week are Frozen 2, A Beautiful Day in the NeighborhoodDoctor Sleep,  and Playing with Fire.

Frozen 2:  Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.   This film is rated PG for action/peril and some thematic elements.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood:  Two-time Oscar®-winner Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism, based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about empathy, kindness, and decency from America's most beloved neighbor.  This film is rated PG for some strong thematic material, a brief fight, and some mild language.

Doctor Sleep:  On highways across America, a tribe of people called The True Knot travel in search of sustenance. They look harmless-mostly old, lots of polyester, and married to their RVs. But as Dan Torrance knows, and tween Abra Stone learns, The True Knot are quasi-immortal, living off the "steam" that children with the "shining" produce when they are slowly tortured to death. Haunted by the inhabitants of the Overlook Hotel where he spent one horrific childhood year, Dan has been drifting for decades, desperate to shed his father's legacy of despair, alcoholism, and violence. Finally, he settles in a New Hampshire town, an AA community that sustains him, and a job at a nursing home where his remnant "shining" power provides the crucial final comfort to the dying. Aided by a prescient cat, he becomes "Doctor Sleep." Then Dan meets the evanescent Abra Stone, and it is her spectacular gift, the brightest shining ever seen, that reignites Dan's own demons and summons him to a battle for Abra's soul.  This film is rated R for disturbing and violent content, some bloody images, language, nudity and drug use.

Playing with Fire:  When straight-laced fire superintendent Jake Carson (John Cena) and his elite team of expert firefighters (Keegan-Michael Key, John Leguizamo and Tyler Mane) come to the rescue of three siblings (Brianna Hildebrand, Christian Convery and Finley Rose Slater) in the path of an encroaching wildfire, they quickly realize that no amount of training could prepare them for their most challenging job yet – babysitters. Unable to locate the children’s parents, the firefighters have their lives, jobs and even their fire depot turned upside down and quickly learn that kids – much like fires –are wild and unpredictable.  This film is rated PG for rude humor, some suggestive material and mild peril.

The following are our show times for the upcoming week.  Since we do not pre-sell admission tickets earlier in the day for that evenings shows, it is important to arrive early to have a chance to purchase tickets for your show.  The ticket office will start selling tickets approximately 30 minutes prior to a set of shows.  For example, for the shows that start 6:00pm to 7:30 on the weekends, the ticket office starts selling tickets for both of these shows at approximately 5:30pm.  Keep in mind, once you purchase a ticket, that guarantees you a seat, but if you have a group that would like to sit together, you need to proceed into the theater once it opens (approximately 30 minutes prior to the scheduled show time).
